Ethics is the heart of leadership and ethical leaders who lead by example are successful at influencing others to do the same. Research shows that it’s hard to follow a leader that you don’t perceive to be ethical. With that in mind, would those you lead be morally comfortable following you?

As you strategically position yourself to advance in your career, set yourself apart by knowing who you are as a leader and how others perceive you. Understanding your personal leadership style as it relates to ethics will help you do the right thing in the face of difficult situations.
