Independent Meeting Planner, Biddix Meetings + Events

Erika Biddix is an independent meeting planner and owner of Biddix Meetings and Events. A graduate of the journalism program at the University of Missouri-Columbia, she worked as a consultant for an international women's organization, and then as an account executive at an advertising agency, before landing where she truly belonged - in the meeting and event planning world.
As a Senior Meeting Planner with a large third-party company, she oversaw an average of fifty programs totaling over one million dollars in program costs per year. With clients that frequently appear on the Fortune 500 list, she’s worked with them on trade shows, corporate meetings, seminars, private events, and conferences. Completed programs include an annual convention for 2,500 in the food and beverage industry, deployment of a 15,000 square foot tradeshow booth in the fashion apparel industry and a global sales meeting for a technology company with attendees from 35 countries. In 2016 she became an independent meeting planner and is currently enjoying being her own boss.
In 2006 she earned her CMP and in 2013 obtained her CMM, a designation earned by less than 1,400 meeting professionals worldwide. She currently serves as the President of the MPI Tennessee Chapter and lives in Knoxville with her husband and three young children.
