Dave Bishop

Dave Bishop is an experienced IT telecommunications and Internet specialist with more than 30 years of experience in the field. He spent 18 years working for IBM as executive Internet adviser to IBM Corporate senior staff, and was one of 12 visionaries who built and directed IBM's strategy and foray into the Internet and cloudcomputing space. He also was one of the original creators of IBM.com. Dave is a member of IAEE and CEMA and frequently speaks at industry conferences. Most recently, Dave was called upon to address the impacts of recent FCC regulatory rulings at Trade Show Executive's Gold 100 in Santa Barbara. Dave is currently the owner and president of ShowNets, LLC. For 17 years he has guided ShowNets as an expert in designing, deploying and supporting state-of-the-art Internet solutions for corporate events and trade shows, as well as for convention, sports and hospitality facilities. ShowNets is the premier provider of wireless and internet services for complex events such as Dreamforce and E3. Companies like the International Data Group, George P. Johnson, and Spargo utilize the showNets team's expertise for select high-visibility events.
