Monica is a strategic and passionate meeting and events professional with over 15 years of experience leading global meeting and event teams.

Monica recently joined Shell Oil as a Project Manager working directly alongside key business leaders to strategically develop and deliver unique experiential events and exhibitions for Shell's global brand and footprint.

Prior, Monica led The Hines Center in Downtown Houston as the Executive Director driving overall operations and financial results for the Center's special events, ongoing wellness courses, and private event venue rentals.

Monica has been featured among the events industry in the inaugural 40 Under 40 Class of Future Leaders in The Meetings Industry by CONNECT, Named as “A Doer” by Smart Women in the Meetings Industry and as “A Mentor” by Meetings Trendsetters in 2016.

Monica will share her interesting story and perspective on diversity and inclusion from her international work.
