Amani Roberts has been a DJ and podcaster since 2008. An MPI Southern California (MPISCC) member since 2012, Amani currently holds the role of Vice President of Education for the chapter and has been on the board for the past five years. He was recognized as MPISCC Chapter Leader of the Year in 2018. He hosts a weekly podcast called “The Amani Experience Podcast” where he interviews creative professionals from all over the world about why they took the leap from corporate life to the creative life. Amani has recorded over 300 total podcast episodes and has been creating in the podcast space since 2008. He has recently written a book called “DJs Mean Business” which is being released on April 14, 2020 (Global Meetings Industry Day)! Amani’s hospitality career has spanned over 25-years and is the Chief Musical Curator for his company, The Amani Experience. This company specializes in providing music for corporate events, social events, team-building experiences, creating original music for commercials or videos, and teaching students of all ages how to DJ. Amani is an adjunct professor and the Co-Director for the Center for Entertainment & Hospitality Management at Cal State University - Fullerton (CSUF).
