Working across all sectors of the tradeshow, event and association industry, Jackie’s knowledge and expertise is evident in the areas of healthcare exhibit and event marketing, as well as association management. Joining Poretta & Orr | Exhibits & Events 6 years ago allows Jackie to continue her professional journey with a company that possesses an unbridled excellence across all sectors of the exhibit and event industry and in-depth expertise in healthcare exhibit and event marketing. Prior to P&O, Jackie was with Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA), the industry trade association with the sole mission to educate those involved in healthcare convention, exhibit and event marketing. Her successful career at HCEA spanned 16 years in a variety of roles, becoming the Executive Vice President | Executive Director, providing strategic direction for the organization.

Currently Jackie is one of a handful of trainers globally for the Healthcare Meeting Compliance Certificate (HMCC) program at Meeting Planners International (MPI). Jackie is a strong advocate for our industry, and she is actively involved on the Board of Directors for MPI’s Medical Meeting Planner Advisory Board, Vice President of Membership and Board of Directors for the Georgia Chapter of Meeting Planners International, as well as the current Vice President on the Exhibitions & Events Work Force Development Federation. In addition, she is a regular speaker at industry events and contributor to many industry publications, such as her contributions on exhibit marketing included in Pat Schaumann’s, CMP, CSEP, DMCP, HMCC, latest book titled, How to Plan Medical Meetings and Events.
