Maksim Godovykh

Maksim Godovykh designed from scratch and organized more than 200 major business events in Russia and had a unique opportunity to observe attendees’ behavior. As a result, he became increasingly involved in visitor experience research, completed several programs in cognitive neuroscience, neuroeconomics, and psychophysiology in order to better understand the nature of human experience, and joined the Ph.D. program at the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in Florida. His research topics are related to the temporal dimensions and outcomes of customer experience in tourism, hospitality, events, and healthcare services, including satisfaction, loyalty, wellbeing, and transformation. Maksim’s findings were published in the premium scientific journals including Destination Marketing and Management, Current Issues in Tourism, Tourism Review, Tourism Management Perspectives, Journal of Convention & Event Tourism, as well as presented in the industry magazines, websites, radio and TV broadcasts, and news media. He is currently working on the global destination research project, analyzing the positive and negative impacts of tourism and special events, and developing new destination management strategies aimed at maximizing residents’ quality of life, health, and wellbeing.
