Certified Meeting & Event Strategist, Marcel Coleman, brings almost 20 years of diverse artistic experience to the meetings and events industry. A self-proclaimed "corporate rebel", Marcel has developed quite the reputation for pushing companies to find their unique voice in the market. His passion for creating experiences that transform the consciousness of attendees developed early during his time studying contemporary and classical ballet, and deepened during his transition to choreography, live concert production and event management. His passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was ignited after a recent in-depth study of race in America following the rise of movements like Black Lives Matter and Me Too. As a black, queer creator, he weaves the need of accurate representation into every aspect of his life, understanding that basic representation is not enough. He currently serves as the Director of Exchange Strategy at Meeting Professionals International, where he also proudly sits as the staff liaison for both the DEI Committee and the LGBTQ+ Community.
