Consumer Technology Association

Laurie Lutz is vice president of CES operations for the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, the U.S. trade association representing more than 2,400 consumer technology companies. CTA owns and produces CES® – The world’s largest annual tradeshow for consumer technology and America’s largest annual tradeshow of any kind. Lutz joined CTA in 2001 and oversees production and operations for CES, which draws more than 170,000 business professionals to Las Vegas each January to explore more than 2.4 million net square feet of exhibit space. She and her team are responsible for building the physical infrastructure of the event – everything from managing show venues, general contractors and show vendors to planning the show setup, décor, transportation, food service, security and hotels. Prior to joining CTA, Lutz worked for Reed Exhibitions in Norwalk, CT, as an operations and meeting services manager, and at Conference Management Company as a conference and event planner. Lutz earned her bachelor’s degree from Saint Mary’s College in South Bend, IN, and is a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events. In 2010, Lutz was selected as one of Dealerscope’s “40 under 40” in the consumer electronics industry. Her most notable honor is being the mother of twin girls.
